Williston-Elko is 0-10 against Calhoun County since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Williston-Elko Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Calhoun County Saints at 8:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Williston-Elko was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Denmark-Olar. Williston-Elko has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Calhoun County waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over Ridge Spring-Monetta.
Kerron Scott was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points. Another player making a difference was Theron Cokley, who scored 12 points.
Williston-Elko dropped their record down to 8-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Calhoun County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
