On Friday, Freeland faced Frankenmuth in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Freeland Falcons secured a 55-51 W over the Frankenmuth Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 60-33 loss.

Despite the loss, Frankenmuth still got an impressive performance from Clare Conzelmann, who went 6 of 12 to rack up 15 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyson Peterson, who posted seven points.

Freeland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Frankenmuth, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3.
