Recap: Northside - Pinetown Panthers vs. Bear Grass Charter Bears
The Northside - Pinetown Panthers were the 53-48 winner over the Bear Grass Charter Bears when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Northside - Pinetown fell just short of Bear Grass Charter by a score of 49-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northside - Pinetown has scored all season.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Griffin Johnson, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. The game was Johnson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zi'mier Alexander, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Northside - Pinetown's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 11-4. As for Bear Grass Charter, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside - Pinetown will take on East Carteret at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bear Grass Charter, they will play host again and welcome Bethel Christian Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel Christian Academy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
