Basketball Recap: Lewis Central Comes Up Short

Lewis Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roncalli Jets. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 119th in Iowa, while the Jets are ranked tenth in Wisconsin).

Lewis Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Roncalli, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.

Lewis Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-54 loss against Roncalli Catholic on the 21st. Roncalli has also already played their next game (against Chilton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
