Volleyball Recap: Jonesville's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jonesville entered their tilt with Homer on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Comets have posted against the Trojans since November 3, 2021.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Morgan Wood paced Jonesville's offense, picking up nine kills. Wood got some help from Olivia Babcock and her 18 assists. Amelia Trine controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The victory got Jonesville back to even at 10-10-1. As for Homer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jonesville will take on rival Addison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Homer is set to square off against their familiar foe Vandercook Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
