Volleyball Recap: Logan Zemberi and Declan Mulvin Secure Win for Mason

The Mason Comets got the win against the Turpin Spartans on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mason took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

Mason was led to victory by Declan Mulvin and Logan Zemberi. Mulvin had 28 assists and two aces, while Zemberi had five digs and four aces. That's the most assists Mulvin has posted over his last five games.

They weren't the only good server: Mason was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Mason has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Turpin, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason will take on Anderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Turpin, they will face off against West Clermont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
