Festus proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Poplar Bluff Mules, sneaking past 2-1. That's more bragging rights for Festus, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Festus has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Poplar Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Festus didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Notre Dame on the 21st. Poplar Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
