Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Cougars vs. Briar Woods Falcons

The Jefferson Cougars will square off against the Briar Woods Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Jefferson is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Spring Mills just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Cardinals, falling 78-46. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-9.

Meanwhile, Briar Woods came up short against Riverside on Thursday and fell 65-58. The Falcons have struggled against the Ram recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Briar Woods, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Jefferson came out on top in a nail-biter against Briar Woods in their previous meeting on January 14th, sneaking past 53-51. Will Jefferson repeat their success, or does Briar Woods have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
