After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ansonia, Derby was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Watertown Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

While Derby won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23, 25-13.

Shea Gray paced Derby's offense, picking up nine kills. Gray got some help from Melanie Fearon and her nine assists. Skylah Clarke controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Derby's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Watertown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Derby has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Woodland Regional on the 3rd. As for Watertown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Naugatuck on the 3rd.
