Soccer Recap: Cumberland Academy Takes a Loss

Cumberland Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the Chapel Hill Bulldogs, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 739th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 333rd).

Cumberland Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Chapel Hill, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Coming up, Cumberland Academy will challenge Van at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland Academy has given up an average of 6.6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Chapel Hill, they will square off against Lindale at 7:15 p.m. on March 11th. Lindale has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 19 goals over their last three contests.
