Two dominant forwards in Ethan Moreno and Corey Dailey are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The South San Antonio Bobcats will face off against the Seguin Matadors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South San Antonio knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Seguin likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, South San Antonio didn't have too much trouble with Southwest as they won 76-61. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Dragons are ranked 404th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ethan Moreno
02/11/25 vs Southwest | 61% |
02/07/25 vs Winn | 74% |
02/04/25 @ Harlandale | 50% |
Moreno was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Kevin Settles was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 16 points.
Meanwhile, Seguin beat Brackenridge 60-50 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Matadors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
South San Antonio better keep an eye on Dailey. He was instrumental in Seguin's win, going 13-for-18 to rack up 32 points and six boards. That's the most points Dailey has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan Miller, who went 6-for-7 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.
Seguin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matches.
South San Antonio has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points over those games. As for Seguin, they pushed their record up to 18-15 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South San Antonio has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Seguin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
