Basketball Recap: Cyprus Takes a Loss

If Cyprus was riding high fresh off their 78-52 takedown of Hunter last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cyprus Pirates lost 76-53 to the Kearns Cougars on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-47 back in January.

Despite the loss, Cyprus still got an impressive performance from Koli Fosita, who went 8-for-14 en route to 25 points and eight boards. The match was Fosita's sixth in a row with at least 15 points.

Cyprus' defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Kearns, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Cyprus nor Kearns have any future games scheduled.
