Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Blue Jays vs. Arcadia Valley Tigers

The Jefferson Blue Jays will face off against the Arcadia Valley Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Friday, Jefferson strolled past Herculaneum with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. Given the Blue Jays' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Black Cats are ranked 473rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Arcadia Valley narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past West County 53-50.

Arcadia Valley's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Jefferson was able to grind out a solid win over Arcadia Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 58-51. Does Jefferson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Arcadia Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
