The St. John Paul II Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Brookwood Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. St. John Paul II is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

St. John Paul II is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since March 5th on Wednesday. They fell just short of Valwood by a score of 7-5. The Panthers have struggled against the Valiants recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Evan Bopp made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Wyatt Visnovske was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Brookwood was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They skirted past Wakulla Christian School 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Brookwood's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for St. John Paul II, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

St. John Paul II might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Brookwood in their previous matchup back in April of 2019. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
