Basketball Recap: Lawrence Tigers vs. Marcellus Wildcats

Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Marcellus Wildcats on the road by a 66-48 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-40 back in January.

Parker Adams was his usual excellent self, going 7-for-12 en route to 25 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists for Marcellus. Adams' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Abram Coffey, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Marcellus, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence will host Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marcellus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Howardsville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
