Softball Recap: Travelers Rest Comes Up Short

Travelers Rest couldn't beat Daniel on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Devildogs fell just short of the Lions by a score of 5-4. The Devildogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Travelers Rest and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Daniel, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-12 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Travelers Rest is set to challenge their familiar foe Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Daniel will square off against rival Pickens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
