Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Half Moon Bay walked away with it. They walked away with a 66-59 win over the Pacific Grove Breakers on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Breakers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Pacific Grove's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Nimri, who to rack up 22 points. The matchup was Nimri's 14th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Valencia, who on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Half Moon Bay's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Pacific Grove, they dropped their record down to 13-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Half Moon Bay will face off against Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carmel will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Half Moon Bay surely won't give up without a fight. Pacific Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
