Baseball Game Preview: Big Bear Bears vs. Rim of the World Fighting Scots

The Big Bear Bears will face off against the Rim of the World Fighting Scots at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Rim of the World took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Big Bear, who comes in off a win.

Big Bear's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Pacific as Big Bear made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Bears have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Chase Wilson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Bristan Gilligan, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Rim of the World was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to Moreno Valley.

The win made it two in a row for Big Bear and bumps their season record up to 3-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Rim of the World, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Big Bear came up short against Rim of the World in their previous meeting back in March of 2016, falling 10-5. Can Big Bear avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
