Volleyball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Carson Cougars

The Franklin Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Carson Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Franklin comes in on five and Carson on 11.

Franklin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past North Lincoln 3-2.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Carson and East Rowan, and Carson kept the tradition alive. The Cougars put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

One reason for the win was Carson's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-11.

Carson's victory bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 27-3.

Everything went Franklin's way against Carson when the teams last played back in October of 2022, as Franklin made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
