The Pomona Panthers will head out to  take on the Fort Morgan Mustangs  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Pomona is coming into the  game hot, having won their last four games.
Pomona's defense heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They took their  contest  with ease, bagging  a  46-0 win over Mountain View. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 151st).

It was another big night for  Tucker Ingersoll, who threw for 307 yards and four  TDs on perfect 9-for-9 passing, and also punched in one  touchdown on the ground. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  passer rating (177.1). Another player making a difference was  Aaron Gomez, who rushed for 60 yards and one  score.
 Pomona's run defense was locked in: Mountain View could only muster 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank  Deandre Gonzales for the heroic effort on defense: he. Pomona didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.7.
 Pomona's defense didn't let  Cam Frost, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Gonzales was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
Meanwhile,  Fort Morgan played a tough  game  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Thompson Valley 45-14. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  24-0.
Pomona will have to contain  Ben Fritzler as he made an impact in Fort Morgan's last game. He picked up 90 receiving yards and one  TD, and also rushed for 135 yards.  Jj Marquez was another key player, throwing for 219 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Fort Morgan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Izeiah Ortiz and  Jordan Perez. Perez is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in each of the last three games he's  played.
 This is the second loss in a row for Fort Morgan and  nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Pomona, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
 Everything came up roses for Pomona against Fort Morgan in their previous meeting  back in November of 2024, as the  team secured  a  49-6 win. In that  matchup, the Panthers amassed a halftime lead of  42-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
