Volleyball Recap: Spanish Fork Wins Going Away Against North Sanpete

Spanish Fork barely beat North Sanpete the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dons put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. The Dons haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Spanish Fork not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept North Sanpete between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-16.

Preston Hupp was the offensive standout of the match as he had 13 digs and two aces. What's more, he posted three assists, the most he's had since back in March.

They weren't the only good server: Spanish Fork was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, North Sanpete still got an impressive performance from Bradley Strange, who had 18 digs. Strange is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Spanish Fork's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for North Sanpete, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spanish Fork will square off against Wasatch at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Sanpete, they will face off against Grantsville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
