Volleyball Recap: Conneaut Comes Up Short

Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Edgewood Warriors, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 11th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-18.

Conneaut's offense was headlined by Bailey Carlson and Lillian Ensman, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Lynn Muha and her six assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Conneaut's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Edgewood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Conneaut has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Jefferson Area on the 30th. As for Edgewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Geneva on the 30th.
