Baseball Recap: Immanuel Takes a Loss

Immanuel lost against Kingsburg last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles lost 8-2 to the Vikings. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Julian Ornelas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Immanuel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Kingsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Immanuel will welcome Reedley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kingsburg, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Central Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m.
