Soccer Game Preview: Florence vs. Burnet

Florence is 0-10 against Burnet since March of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Buffaloes will face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Florence fell victim to Jarrell and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Burnet made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lago Vista on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Vikings. The win continues a trend for Burnet in their matchups with Lago Vista: they've now won seven in a row.

Burnet's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Florence might still be hurting after the 6-2 loss they got from Burnet in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Buffaloes were down 5-0.
