Softball Recap: Treasure Coast Titans vs. Westwood Panthers
After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Treasure Coast brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They never let the Westwood Panthers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Tuesday. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Mia La Terra made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Kathryn Worley was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Valerie Leon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
Treasure Coast lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
