Volleyball Recap: Oak Glen Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Morgantown

Oak Glen faced Morgantown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Golden Bears fell 2-0 to the Mohigans. If the Golden Bears were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Mohigans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brooklyn Six paced Oak Glen's offense, picking up five kills. Six got some help from Mikalyn Balch and her ten assists. Six was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Oak Glen has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-10-3 record this season. As for Morgantown, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 32-4-1.

Oak Glen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Wheeling Park on the 21st. Morgantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
