Softball Recap: Reynoldsburg Takes a Loss

Reynoldsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-0 to the Groveport-Madison Cruisers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cruisers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 back in April.

Reynoldsburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anastacia Bantoe, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Reynoldsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Groveport-Madison, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reynoldsburg will welcome Pickerington Central at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Groveport-Madison, they will challenge Bishop Ready at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
