Valley Center had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Foothills Christian on Tuesday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 8-0 win. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Jaguars this season.

The result came thanks to Jd Marquez's shutout, as he gave up just a hit.
