Recap: Cleveland Indians vs. Grand Oaks Grizzlies
This season hasn't been kind to The Cleveland Indians, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were outmatched by Grand Oaks at home and fell 56-7. While losing is never fun, Cleveland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1004th, while Grand Oaks is ranked 439th).
Jacob Estrada threw for 99 yards on five of 11 attempts. Andy Medina was his top target, picking up 106 receiving yards.
Grand Oaks was led to victory by Zach Rollins and Devon Wallace. Rollins threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, while Wallace gained 106 total yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Preston Cloud, who picked up 69 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Cleveland's loss was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Splendora and 2-8 Alvin (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 40.8% over those games). As for Grand Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
