Softball Recap: Mountain View Beats Westwood for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Mountain View entered their tilt with Westwood on Tuesday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Westwood Warriors with a sharp 10-2 win. The Toros have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Tierah Metcalf was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kylynn Sylvester, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Mountain View's record is now 6-2. As for Westwood, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will be taking part in a tournament against Queen Creek at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Queen Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Westwood, they will be playing at home against Maryvale at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Maryvale also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 7.3 runs per game.
