On Saturday, Douglas faced Torrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Douglas Bearcats took down the Torrington Trailblazers 64-49. The win was nothing new for the Bearcats as they're now sitting on five straight.

Torrington lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Julian Stromski, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 19 points and seven boards. Mac Hibben was another key player, putting up ten points.

Douglas' victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Torrington, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Douglas will challenge Glenrock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Glenrock has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Torrington, they will welcome Rawlins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Torrington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.
