Volleyball Recap: Apache Junction Comes Up Short

Apache Junction extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-15. They lost 3-0 to the Florence Gophers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gophers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Florence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 25-10 record this season. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10th (when they won 3-0).

Florence can attribute much of their success to Lexie Hoffman, who had seven digs and six aces. That's the most aces Hoffman has posted since back in September.

Apache Junction wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Seton Catholic on the 23rd. As for Florence, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Globe on the 23rd.
