Soccer Game Preview: Glens Falls vs. Queensbury

Glens Falls hasn't had much luck against Queensbury recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Black Bears will look to defend their home pitch against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Queensbury better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Glens Falls' game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Glens Falls really gets things going. The Black Bears never let Amsterdam get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Glens Falls needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Mary Giblin and Kloe Russo scored all four of Glens Falls' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Queensbury's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out South Glens Falls 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Queensbury.

Queensbury's victory bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Glens Falls, they now have a winning record of 5-4-3.

Glens Falls skirted past Queensbury 2-1 in their previous matchup on Saturday. Will the Black Bears repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
