Volleyball Recap: Windermere Gets the Win

Windermere won the last time they faced Colonial and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wolverines walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Grenadiers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Windermere walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 19-25, 25-15.

Windermere can attribute much of their success to Vitor Sousa, who had ten assists and six digs. That's the most digs Sousa has posted over his last seven matches.

Windermere was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Colonial still got an impressive performance from Angel Marte, who had 12 digs.

Windermere's record now sits at 15-7. As for Colonial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Windermere and Apopka, coming up, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Colonial, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Ocoee on the 16th.
