Volleyball Recap: Negaunee Takes a Loss

Negaunee was the 3-2 winner over Ishpeming when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Miners fell just short of the Hematites by a score of 2-1 on Monday.

Negaunee's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8-4. As for Ishpeming, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That lines up perfectly with their 17-5-2 record this season.

Negaunee and Ishpeming should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Miners (ranked 170th) will meet Gladstone (ranked 393rd) at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. Meanwhile, Ishpeming will square off against North Central on Thursday with a big rank advantage (154 vs. 630).
