Football Recap: Batesville Takes a Loss

After soaring to 39 points the game before, Batesville was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 45-0 loss at the hands of the East Central Trojans. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Batesville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ethan Schneider. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

With the defeat, Batesville broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for East Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Batesville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 48-6 loss against Lawrenceburg on the 26th. As for East Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 66-6 win against South Dearborn on the 26th.
