Volleyball Recap: Maple Heights Comes Up Short

Maple Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Gilmour Academy Lancers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-6, 25-7.

Gilmour Academy found their leader in freshman Mira Siebert, who had 11 aces and three digs. Another player making a difference was Giuliana Rutter, who had 13 assists and four digs.

Maple Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Gilmour Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Maple Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gilmour Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hawken on the 21st.
