Softball Game Preview: Mammoth Spring Bears vs. Cedar Ridge Timberwolves

Mammoth Spring hasn't had much luck against Cedar Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bears will challenge the Timberwolves at 4:30 p.m. Neither Mammoth Spring nor Cedar Ridge posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Mammoth Spring is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 18-0 to Marshall.

Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Tuckerman, falling 10-0.

Cedar Ridge now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Mammoth Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Mammoth Spring suffered a grim 18-3 defeat to Cedar Ridge in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
