It's playoff time, and Walnut Grove had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Tyler Lions 59-44 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walnut Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Ward, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Ward a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Parker Evanson, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds.

Walnut Grove's victory bumped their record up to 28-9. As for Tyler, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-13.

Coming up, Walnut Grove will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Walnut Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Heritage likes a good challenge. Tyler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
