Baseball Recap: Lenox Memorial Comes Up Short

Lenox Memorial came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Athol Bears, falling 10-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on May 2nd.

Jack Hicks was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Zack Nicotra was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Lenox Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Athol, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Lenox Memorial has already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Franklin County Tech on the 25th. Athol does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
