Football Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton lost against Lakota East back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Big Blue fell 31-27 to the Thunderhawks. The Big Blue have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryder Hooks had an outrageously good game for Lakota East as he rushed for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. The dominant performance also gave Hooks a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Lakota East also got help from Pj MacFarlane, who showed off his sure hands for 98 receiving yards.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lakota East, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hamilton is set to face off against their familiar foe Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lakota East will square off against rival Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
