Football Game Preview: Temple Wildcats vs. Harker Heights Knights

Two dominant backs in Cavalli Nealy and Jaylen Mason are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Temple Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Harker Heights Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Temple sitting on three straight victories and Harker Heights on five.

Temple is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Copperas Cove: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Bulldawgs out of the water with a 32-0 final score. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Ramauhn Brown had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 43 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also picking up 57 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Temple was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 180 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Harker Heights didn't have too much trouble with Shoemaker on Friday as they won 28-10.

Temple's record is now 7-2. As for Harker Heights, their record now sits at an identical 7-2.

Temple lost to Harker Heights on the road by a decisive 31-14 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Wildcats, C2 Evans (who rushed for 279 yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
