Bakersfield Christian had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Bakersfield Drillers by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Bakersfield Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Bakersfield still got an impressive performance from Carly Arambula, who had 60 digs and one assist. Arambula is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ariel Moreno, who had 17 digs and two aces.

Bakersfield Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Bakersfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.
