Basketball Game Preview: McBee Panthers vs. North Central Knights

The McBee Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the North Central Knights at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. McBee will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

McBee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over Lamar on Tuesday.

Curtis Sutton had a dynamite game, shooting 54% from the field to rack up 20 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.5% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Griggs, who went 5-for-7 en route to 11 points in addition to six boards and four blocks.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-11 win over Virtus Academy.

North Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for McBee, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

McBee took their win against North Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 64-38 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
