Softball Recap: South Pontotoc Takes a Loss

South Pontotoc came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the North Pontotoc Vikings, falling 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since March 14th.

Blakelee Dollins and Jacee Mcclellan stepped up to the plate in a big way. Dollins scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Mcclellan went 1-for-4 with one home run.

South Pontotoc's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for North Pontotoc, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

While South Pontotoc had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
