Softball Recap: Northeast Dubois Takes a Loss

Northeast Dubois blew Wood Memorial out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Wood Memorial got their revenge. The Jeeps fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jeeps have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Northeast Dubois is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4. As for Wood Memorial, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Dubois will take on Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jeeps' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hatchets have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Wood Memorial, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against South Knox at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Trojans' favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Spartans have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
