Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Franklin-Simpson

Franklin-Simpson proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Warren East Raiders 5-3. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jayden Kough, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Presli West, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Franklin-Simpson's win bumped their record up to 25-16. As for Warren East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-21 record this season.

Franklin-Simpson will host South Warren at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven games. Warren East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
