Greenup County faced Rowan County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Musketeers walked away with a 5-1 win over the Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Musketeers: when they faced off against the Vikings back in April, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for Greenup County and bumps their season record up to 22-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Rowan County, their loss dropped their record down to 20-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenup County will challenge Boyd County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
