Softball Game Preview: Siuslaw Vikings vs. Sutherlin Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Siuslaw will face off against Sutherlin. The Vikings will take on the Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering Siuslaw has lost three straight at home and Sutherlin 14 straight on the road (dating back to last season), this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.

Siuslaw couldn't beat Sutherlin on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Vikings fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7.

For Sutherlin's part, Kellsie Engelstad was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Engelstad's first of the season. Morgan McKinney was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

With the win, Sutherlin broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-11. As for Siuslaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
