Basketball Recap: Arp Takes a Loss

Arp has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Overton Mustangs on Friday.

Jayden Edwards was his usual excellent self, going 6-for-8 to rack up 14 points for Overton. Edwards is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Hall, who posted nine points and three steals.

Arp's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Overton, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

When Arp and Overton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Arp will square off against Edgewood and their six-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Overton will try to stop Union Grove's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
